It shouldn't come as a surprise that I'm a big fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I have to say that as much as I love Avengers, Guardians, Civil-War, and all the rest in their goofy and action-packed glory, each series in Marvel's Netflix Defenders saga has been consistently hitting it out of the park. Grittier and more character-drive, both Daredevil and Jessica Jones satisfied by bringing something new to the MCU.
And now the trailer for Luke Cage is here, and it looks like it, too, won't disappoint. I'm glad to finally be seeing a new side of the city outside of the 24-block radius of Hell's Kitchen Matt Murdock seems unable to travel outside of. (Seriously, it's pretty small). But Luke Cage takes his fight to Harlem, and it will be great for that amazing neighborhood to get some exposure in the MCU. And with Baz Luhrmann's Bronx-set The Get Down scheduled to finally drop this Friday, there's a lot of NYC neighborhoods getting their due representation in 2016.
