Throwback Thursday: Today I Got Married

Four years ago today, November 10, 2012, I married my amazing, beautiful and loving wife, Katelyn.

Ugh, yes, I wore shorts in our engagement photos. Why she stays with me I have no idea.

We dated for five years before that, and were friends for several years before that. You can read the full story on our wedding website, which proclaims today that we have been "newlyweds" for 1,461 days!

The last four years have been both harder and greater than I could have ever imagined. Marriage is a blessing, a crucible, a refining fire, and like one giant slumber party all rolled into one. It helps if you have a best friend to experience it, as I am lucky to have.

Katelyn, I want to use this platform today to publicly proclaim how much I love you. Thank you for being there for me day in and day out for the last ten years, through some amazing high points as well as some of my darkest lows. I can't fathom exactly why or how you love me, but I am thankful that you do. Happy anniversary. I love you and I can't wait to see what the next four years bring.
